Waiting…

la9060-001.jpg

It’s hard to put up a post for the past few days since the entire internet network has been shaken to bits. Anyways, to all those guys out there slaving to bring comfort & convenience back to us, a big thank you.

I must say, I’ve not been able to do more research to improve this blog. But let not be this the beginning of my end here.

I’ve also not informed anyone – family, friends and acquaintences (?) – about my blogging. Blame it on fear or the lack of confidence but one day i eventually will expose myself when this is more matured. ;-)

So there u go, another day is ending and time for me to pack up and leave (the office). Hope to catch you around again next week.

Cheers!

Blink! Blink! It’s 2007… already?!

I’m back at work after clearing only 5 days of leave. Well, basically i’m right to call it a long break because i’ve been breaking my back at home all this while. I did some impromptu ’spring’ cleaning. From intensive vacuuming to meticulous scrubbing of bathroom floors, it was indeed not a ‘holiday’ for me.

On top of that, i also had my fare share of chasing my lil’ princess around. Me on two feet and she on all fours. How does she do it? Human duracel, u think? At the end of each day, i’m pooped, seriously Pooped.

Anyway, about the new year, what are your goals and resolutions? Do you even believe in having one? I’m… i’m afraid, i’m not bothered. Yes, i do set goals and have resolutions but i don’t necessary set them at the beginning of the year. It’s done whenever the need arises of course. But just for blog sake, lets see…. hmm… my resolutions for 2007 are:

(not in specific order)
#1 – continue blogging with enthusiasm and not for blog sake.
#2- learn to be a pro at blogging
#3- learn to set up my own website
#4 – learn to bake (and be a master in making smacking rich fruit cakes)
#5 – lose some pounds by eating less, eating only at meal times, eating non-fattening food, no more junk food, cut on the sugar… think of a way to re-join a gym!
#6 – to be a better mom. (i suck at it at the moment… big time. u will know why later.)

Here’s an excerpt from ehow.com on how to write a new year resolutions:-

STEP 1:
Be realistic by setting achievable goals. Winning the lottery, for example, is out of your grasp.

· STEP 2: Describe your resolutions in specific terms. Instead of “I don’t want to be lazy,” opt for “I want to exercise regularly” or “I will cut down on my television watching.”

· STEP 3: Break down large goals into smaller ones. For instance, commit to losing weight by resolving to join a gym and improve your eating habits.

· STEP 4: Find alternatives to a behavior that you want to change, and make this part of your resolution plan. So you want to quit smoking but you smoked to relax yourself? What other forms of relaxation are available to you?

· STEP 5: Above all, aim for things that are truly important to you, not what you think you ought to do or what others expect of you.

So, how? Are you going to set your resolutions for this year? Share with me so that i can sebok a bit la.

Tadaa…!

Ok, so this is my first post, don’t laugh la. It’s not suppose to be serious anyway but like everyone else, i’m not going to lose out and be left behind. Kiasu also, u see…

I figured, how hard can this be… well, truth is, it takes time to learn the works and a lot more to put thoughts to words without wrongly expressing yourself. I’m not going to add any disclaimer here, so if i say something out of line or that doesn’t suit you, just close this page and move on, ok?

#1 reason i’m starting this is because i’ve always wanted to. If you know me, i’m pathetic-ly lazy, who is known to abandon hobbies midway (esp. when the fad fades). No guarantees, people. (read: i might dissapear one day without notice).

#2 reason, i bought a domain on impulse thinking i will one day be enterprising with it. Hmm…. i’m still thinking.

#3 reason, influence. Having read through countless of blogs, i’m feeling a little inspired to break out from my own shell. Thanks to 5xmom’s multiple blogsites, mott, mumsgather and many others who has shared their thoughts & experience so openly.

That should justify what i’m doing, doesn’t it? It just feels right better to have some reasons to back me up.

Let’s hope there’s more to come in future blogs. Meanwhile, i have more lessons to learn on WordPress and all the magical stuff that it can do for me us.
